With a little over 15 years under its belt, and over 90 million active users, eBay is the largest buyer seller marketplace in the world. Ebay was founded in 1995, and has been able to connect the world as a whole. They have had the ability to link people together who have been able to buy or sell basically anything. There have been items from all over the spectrum on ebay for sale; anything from a bag a lucky charm marshmellows to sports cars and properties worth millions of dollars. Ebay has not only helped people locate that individual item they cant find anywhere else, but it has also enabled people to create a e-business. "Ebayers" have been able to create an ebay store which can become quite successful, some ebay store owners have been known to pull in up to $10,000 every couple months. Also, eBay has made a huge inpact on e-commerce. Ebay in 2009 has a total worth of goods sold over $60 billion, up to $2,000 every second. I know I enjoy ebay for many reasons. I like the fact that I am able to sell things that I dont use around the house anymore, and actually reach a large market with only being from a small town. Also, I am able to search and see if products or items I need or want are accessable on eBay for a lower price than anywhere else, or if I could take advantage of a auction item. Overall, I believe eBay is very successful due to its functionality, and it ability to just be fun to use. So many people enjoy just browsing eBay seeing whats on there, and even looking up things they may never be able to afford, but its fun and exciting and thats what makes people want to take part in the eBay experience.
