While entering the wireless market through the new sleek styled cellular technology, Google has worked very hard to create operating systems to help beat the competitors products. Google has been able to create the OS Android for the newer cell phones on the market, and have had very high reviews following. Googles new problem is the with the new tablet market coming on strong they are not sure whether to stay with the Android OS or convert to their Chrome OS. Although Googles director of mobile products has recently said that the Android technology is not optimized for the tablet form, but it would probably need to be reworked before its to be used on a tablet. The Android technology is an open OS and has actually already been used in some tablets, such as the Samsumg Galaxy. However, Googles Operations Director has talked about Googles Chrome OS with is also an open system which could be used in tablet form. He has also said that the Chrome OS is still in its earlier stages and is looked to be used mainly in netbooks. Google is looking to hear its announcement of a partnership with HTC and Verizon, who are rumored to be working on a Google based tablet that is to be released in November. The big question is which OS is going to be used, and when will anyone know? When the creators were asked this question they were quick to diverge. So it is still up in the air and we will have to watch and listen to see exactly what Google is thinking of doing. I believe that with the new Chrome technology it may be a little selling point that may go a long way, its new and with technology that a majority of what people are looking for, the next newest thing. I think if the three partners are able to play their cards right they will have a huge peice of technology with great selling potentional on their hands.
